I wrote this song when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I had just been dumped and was feeling lonelier than I’d ever thought was possible. During this solitude, I realized that I had completely lost track of who I was and who I wanted to be. A friend pointed out that I had a unique opportunity to completely reinvent myself. This song is about trying to find and become the best version of yourself.

I guess that I was hell bent on destroying my life.
‘Cause it’s me... me that’s in control.
Oh it’s me... only I can destroy it all.
So I guess this is where the rest..
The rest of my life begins.

So please forgive me.

Maybe just a darkness in my soul.
But, when I lost my baby, I had nowhere left to go.
But the dark..
